Important UK kidney biobank study hits target of 3000 people recruited, August 30th 2019

Hi Everyone,More Exciting Research News!!!

UK kidney biobank study hits recruitment target Kidney Research UK and the University of Nottingham are delighted that the NURTuRE-CKD biobank project has hit the recruitment target of 3000 people in the UK.NURTuRE is the first unique biobank for chronic kidney disease (CKD) and idiopathic nephrotic syndrome (INS) across England, Scotland and Wales. It will provide a vital resource for researchers and industry partners to unlock some of the mysteries surrounding kidney disease and help us discover new treatments, faster.

This is a major milestone and we must congratulate the hard working team behind this which includes many people under the leadership of Marteen Taal,supported by Fiona Robertson,Liz Colby and Professor Moin Saleem, Dr Gavin Welsh and Bristol University Research Team,Fiona Braddon(RaDaR),Kidney Research UK team, NeST and many more people (too many to name!) and of course all of you participating giving your samples -could'n't do research without you!!! Please continue to support this important enterprise to unravel this complex cruel kidney disease by taking your samples to clinic and ESPECIALLY RELAPSE SAMPLES when NS is most active,so valuable to reseachers,they need them in the labs urgently!!
